Posted 20-Dec-09: Valley Mental Health and the National Alliance for Mental Illness/Utah will be publishing a literary journal in the Spring of 2010. The purpose of the journal is to exhibit quality writing in the form of poetry, short stories, short plays, and essays by those with a mental illness. For example, a writer's diagnosis may involve clinical depression, bi-polar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety disorder, or other mental illness. For submission information, one option is to contact Shirley at 801-536-6537. Otherwise, go to www.vmh.com and select the Information tab, then look for the link to the VMH/NAMI Literary Journal Submission Form. The submission deadline is January 15.

Posted 11-Nov-09: Eva Jensen took 1st place in the West Jordan Arts Council Veteran's Day Poetry Contest and read her poem "Answering Muster" on Veteran's Day at the USO show presented at the Sugar Factory in West Jordan.
