winning publication, with a prize of $100 and 25 copies.

Posted Jan. 2010: News From Dixie Chapter of Utah State Poetry Society: Caleb Warnock, Director of Literary Programs for the American Fork Arts Council, announced that Marilyn Ball's poem, Tapestry, was chosen as one of ten winners of the “Poetry on Canvas 2011 Competition.” There were more than 60 poems entered, so the competition was extremely tight. Her poem will be given to a local artist, who will create a visual interpretation. This poem will be on public display in American Fork during the month of April, will be set to music by composer M. Ryan Taylor, and become lyrics in a concert presentation.
The 2010 Book Concert was held Saturday evening, Oct 16, at the Salt Lake City Main Library (SLC downtown location: 210 East 400 South). Rosalyn Whitaker Ostler read selections from her winning book: Walking the Earth Barefoot.
